Wills left by past inhabitants in the area of Kingston Bagpuize

All Wills are prior to 1858. Unless otherwise stated these wills are held at the Wiltshire and Swindon Record Office. The outstanding Salisbury Diocesan Probate collection contains 105, 000 wills and inventories dating from Tudor to Victorian times (1540-1858).

This unique collection which contains those wills proved in the Diocese of Sarum covers the whole of Wiltshire and Berkshire, parts of Dorset and Uffculme in Devon. The collection is one of the finest in the country, and an invaluable source for historians.
